For Farah, evening means worry — a reminder of family members killed within the darkness.
For Myriam, her residence was destroyed, taking her mom and sister. Her aunt’s physique stays buried below the rubble.
She lives in a tent beside the ruins and that is the place the 2 ladies meet to share their grief, fears and hopes for the long run after two years of warfare.
Farah and Myriam is directed by Wissam Moussa. It’s a part of From Floor Zero, a group of twenty-two quick movies made in Gaza, initiated by Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi, to inform the untold tales of the present warfare.
From Floor Zero was the official submission of Palestine, within the Finest Worldwide Characteristic Movie class of the 97th Academy Awards in 2025.
